1. Who we are

Göbekli Tepe (gobekli-tepe.com) is an independent archaeological travel guide published by Serendipity Tours Turkey. It is not the official archaeological site, museum or UNESCO website. You can reach us at info@serendipityturkey.com.

2. What we collect

• Enquiries: details you choose to send by email or on the linked tour operator's contact site. The operator's own notice applies when you leave this website.
• Newsletter requests: the email address you submit is sent to Formspree for processing. The success message confirms receipt of your request, not confirmation of mailing-list membership.
• Optional analytics: after acceptance, Google Analytics 4 can receive page visits, limited interaction events, browser/device information and cookie identifiers. These identifiers are not fully anonymous.
• Website delivery: Cloudflare handles requests to serve and protect the site, which involves network information such as IP addresses. Security processing is separate from the optional Google analytics choice.

3. How we use your data

• To respond to your enquiries and pass tour requests to the operating agency.
• To process your request for occasional newsletter updates. To stop these emails, use any unsubscribe instructions included in the email or contact us at the address above.
• With your analytics acceptance, to understand page usage, tour-link clicks and successfully received newsletter requests.

4. Cookies and analytics

Analytics is paused by default pending review of the Google web stream's automatic measurement settings. A saved acceptance does not bypass this pause. When analytics is activated for an eligible production page, Accept analytics and Reject analytics are offered on equal terms. Our code does not load Google's analytics script, send analytics requests or create analytics cookies unless you accept. Your choice is stored in this browser's local storage until you change it or clear site data. Reading the site and submitting a newsletter request do not require analytics.

Use Analytics settings to change your choice. Reject analytics withdraws acceptance, disables collection, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies on this site and reloads the page. It does not delete data already received by Google. You can also clear this site's data using your browser settings.

Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. IP addresses are still used in network communication; this does not make all analytics data anonymous. Our implementation disables Google signals and advertising storage/personalization. Our explicit events use canonical page URLs without query strings or fragments and do not include email addresses, names or message content. Those fields alone do not control every automatic event in Google's library, which is why activation requires a review of the web stream. As an additional safeguard, this loader stays off on pages with query strings or fragments, and disables itself and reloads if a loaded page changes to such a URL.

5. Service providers and retention

The site uses Cloudflare for hosting and security, Formspree for newsletter requests, and, if you accept, Google for analytics. These services may process information in other countries. Their linked notices explain their own processing.

Contact us for the retention period and deletion options applicable to your enquiry or newsletter request. This technical notice does not establish the providers' account-level retention settings or the operator's complete data-sharing practices.

6. Your rights and questions

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email info@serendipityturkey.com.

7. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the implementation or documented practices change. This page describes the website's technical behavior; it is not a statement of legal compliance.
